Browser Compatibility

While we'd like every visitor and member to have the best possible experience visiting The Naughty Network, it's just not possible to build web applications which work identically on all of the web browsers available today. So we've created this page to tell you a little more about the browsers we suggest you use, and how to configure those browsers to ensure the best possible experience.

About Your Browser

We've looked at the browser you're using now, If that's correct, and if your browser is one of those suggested below, then you should have no problems accessing this site. But you should read on to be sure you also have certain features of your browser turned on and configured correctly for best results.

Browser Suggestions

When we built The Naughty Network, we had some basic guidelines about the setups and capabilities of most of our visitors' browsers. Using those guidelines, we created a site using the types of media and the advanced technologies that most visitors would be able to enjoy. We advise anyone who wants to get the maximum possible enjoyment out of visiting here not to use older versions of popular browsers, and not to use less popular browsers, when viewing this site.

We know that most of our visitors would be using one of these browsers:

If your browser is not one of those listed above, you can click any of those links to get a copy of the latest version. If you already have one of the listed browsers, just see below to be sure you have the features you need turned on.

Browser Configuration

Microsoft, Netscape, Apple and other browser makers offer comprehensive information for downloading and setting up your browser. Web Browsers require helper applications (also known as plug-ins) to take full advantage of the range of media and mime types (for example Flash, streaming video, Quicktime, etc.) on the Internet. To set up browser preferences for helper applications you may need to visit the browser makers' websites to learn more. You can use the links above to open new windows to the home pages for those browsers.

In general, here's what we recommend for viewing the content on The Naughty Network:

  • Use one of the latest generations of the most popular browsers.
  • Enable JavaScript (enabled by default). If you disable JavaScript, some advanced interface features will not operate properly.
  • Make sure your browser's security is set to medium or medium/low.
  • Make sure any personal security software you use is set to allow use of Naughty Network (thenaughtynetwork.com and tnnw.com domains).
  • Make sure your browser is set to accept cookies. We use cookies to make it easier for you to use the dynamic features of these web pages, without having to provide the same information again as you move from one page to another.

If you have other questions on how to configure your browser options, you can refer to your browser's help menu, you can visit the browser maker's website (links above), or you can our technical support staff.
